Finding Clients and Attracting the
Perfect Customers
Even before you start prospecting for your
first client and attracting customers, you have to develop a
mindset... of knowing that you will attract the right clients and
customers, you will be abundantly paid and honored for your services and
you will do well and prosper in this business....
Imagine your perfect client in as much
detail as possible... friendly, eager to do business with you,
trustworthy, imagine them prospering from and appreciating your work,
imagine them rewarding you handsomely for your work. Imagine yourself
having a good working relationship with your client. Imagine yourself
enjoying working for them.
You already know who your target market is
and the possible profile of your first customer / client
For instance if you are a professional
writer, you know which market you are writing for... is it the travel
industry, the Hoteling Industry, Pharmaceuticals, self help, technology
etc...
You are going to make a list of all possible
clients in your region or area of operation. Call this your client list
and set it up properly in a database, so that you can access it easily
every time... outlining the address, contact person, phone, website etc
and a comments column.
Research your prospective clients
thoroughly... using their website, information appearing about them in the
news or on the internet, make comments in your comments column in your
database.
Write a sales letter to each prospective
client, outlining how you can be of service to them... How they will
benefit from using your services over other similar applicants. What's in
it for them... Make your sales letter as attractive as possible.
Send this letter out to as many prospective
clients as you can.
